The next edition in the leading global series for the Industrial Internet of Things

The Fourth Industrial Revolution or Industrie 4.0 will become the platform in which manufacturers have adopted a plethora of technologies to cut costs, improve operational efficiency and increase profits. IoT is at the forefront of the sectors mind, with an estimated $913Bn of revenue being generated by 2018.

Part of the global IoB manufacturing series, this latest UK edition provides a unique and unparalleled environment to empower manufacturers on their IoT roadmap. The only event of its kind in the UK, attention will be given to overcoming challenges that include: security concerns, improving employee knowledge, connectivity and showing ROI on initiatives.

Our research shows…

The UK manufacturing industry is on the up. Britain is now the 8th largest manufacturer in the world by output.

However, with only 11% of manufacturers agreed that the sector was geared up to take advantage of Industry 4.0 in late 2016, there is still some way to go before the UK sector truly takes advantage of associated technologies like IoT.

While the potential of IoT may be obvious, there needs to be more clarity around existing issues. For instance, only 35% of UK manufacturers believe that current internet connection is adequate for their needs over the next five years. It’s certainly an exciting time for UK manufacturers looking to adopt IoT and through careful navigation of current challenges, this outlook is only going to improve.
