Drawing on a wealth of commercial experience gained in his 20+ year FMCG supply chain career, Mike established his consultancy, Opaki SC, to provide specialist support for businesses with their Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes, demand planning and implementation of agile supply chains. Prior to consulting, Mike sat on the board as Planning Director at Muller Milk, where his role was instrumental in shaping and defining strategy to successfully deliver a complex business integration. Mike has an extensive track record in delivering break through business results under his leadership at Dairy Crest, Avon Cosmetics and P&G, and successfully delivered sustained periods of 100% in full-service whilst reducing inventory and waste. He has successfully completed 3 IBP implementations and has multiple examples of working collaboratively to reduce supply chain lead times from months to days. Whilst working for P&G, Mike was a thought leader in the implementation of predictive maintence by replacing more traditional predictive maintenance systems.
Mike's approach to transformation combines the development of an aligned vision, strategies and objectives, with a strong team engagement to create a value led, positive and high performance culture. He is passionate about developing the capability of individuals within the team and takes satisfaction in seeing members of his team progressing their careers. When not working, Mike enjoys time with his family, following sport and is a keen skier.
